About Conference Services

As your link to the whole campus community, Cornell University Conference Services will be responsible for the majority of your conference arrangements.

Before your program, Conference Services will

  • Oversee general planning
  • Assist with brochures or flyers to announce your conference
  • Address and mail announcements
  • Respond to phone inquiries regarding your program
  • Assist in developing a registration form for your group
  • Set up a university account to accept payments and pay your conference bills
  • Process all registration forms and payments
  • Reserve housing, dining, and meeting space
  • Reserve special equipment as needed
  • Send confirmation letters to registrants in your conference
  • Coordinate activities of campus service departments

During your program, Conference Services will

  • Welcome participants in your conference to Ithaca
  • Register participants and their guests
  • Provide preprinted name badges and university ID forms to registrants
  • Provide information folders for each of your participants
  • Provide a conference assistant to monitor your program's needs
  • Assist with audio-visual equipment
  • Confirm readiness of facilities for all functions, including meetings and catered events

After your program, Conference Services will

  • Pay, from your special conference account, outstanding conference bills
  • Reconcile your program account and prepare a final invoice
  • Compile responses to evaluation surveys given to participants in your program
